• Reduced price membership offers are not paused along with a membership pause. Example: If you take a 3-month reduced price offer, this period continues to count down even if you pause your membership. Can I put my membership on pause?

You can pause your membership by completing the following steps through the Audible desktop or mobile site:

1. Sign in to your account.
2. Select your username from the site’s top navigation.
3. Select Account details from the drop-down menu.
4. Select the Pause membership link.
5. Select Pause membership to confirm.

Notes:

• Memberships billed through Google Play or the Apple App Store aren’t eligible for pause. You can manage your membership anytime through your Google Play or App Store settings.
• Customers on Annual Plans, rather than monthly, are not able to pause their memberships.
• The option to pause the Audible membership in the app is not available.

Can I put my membership on pause during my free trial?

If you're a Premium trial member, you can pause your free trial for 30 days. To pause your free trial, complete the following steps:

1. Sign in to your account.
2. Select your username from the site's top navigation.
3. Select Account details from the drop-down menu.
4. Select the Cancel membership link.
5. Select Pause your membership.
6. Select Pause for 30 days to confirm.

Notes:

• Pausing extends your trial period by 30 days.
• You won't have access to the Plus Catalogue or get new credits, but you can continue listening to titles you have already bought with a credit.
• After your pause ends, your trial will resume with access to the Plus Catalogue until renewal.
• If you're billed through the App Store or Google Play Store, the option for pausing your membership is currently unavailable to you.

What happens when I pause my membership?

No matter what plan you have, pausing your membership will also pause your payments. You can resume your membership anytime or cancel monthly.
Here’s what you can access during a pause:

Audible Standard

• You won't have access to titles you selected as monthly listens (they'll show a lock icon)
• You can continue to listen to any titles you've purchased with cash or credits
• You can continue to access sales
• You can purchase titles with cash or credits
• You won't receive new monthly listens
• You won’t have access to the podcast catalogue

Premium Plus

• You can continue to use your existing credits
• You can continue to listen to any purchased titles
• You can continue to access sales and enjoy your member discount
• You can still buy credit bundles and participate in 2-for-1 deals
• You won’t receive new credits

What happens to my monthly listen if I pause my Audible Standard membership?

If you're a Standard member, pausing affects your monthly audiobook benefit.

For memberships billed through Audible:

Your pause starts immediately. You can redeem your current monthly listen during the pause period, but once you add it to your Library, you won't be able to access it until you resume your membership or your pause period ends. The title will show a lock icon in your Library.

For memberships billed through the App Store or Google Play Store:

Your pause starts at your next billing date, giving you time to use your current monthly listen before the pause begins.

During your pause:

• You won't receive new monthly listens.
• Titles you've selected as monthly listens will be locked in your Library.
• You won’t have access to the podcast catalogue.
• You can still listen to any titles you've purchased with cash or credits.
• You can purchase new titles with cash or credits.

You can resume your paused membership anytime:

On the website:

2. Select Account.
3. Select Resume membership.

When you resume, your payments will restart at your next billing period, and you'll regain access to all your membership benefits.

What happens if I cancel while my membership is paused?

If you cancel during the pause period, you won’t be billed, and you’ll have access to your member benefits until the end of your current billing period.
