The Account Updater service is a feature offered by participating banks and card networks (such as Visa and Mastercard) that automatically updates your card details when your credit or debit card has been replaced or has a new expiration date. This means that if your bank issues you a new card — for example, because your previous card expired or was replaced — your updated card information may be automatically applied to your Audible account. This helps ensure uninterrupted access to your Audible membership by reducing the chance of a failed payment due to outdated card information. The Account Updater service works alongside existing payment verification requirements, including Strong Customer Authentication (SCA). You may still be asked to verify your identity for certain transactions as required by your bank or payment provider. Note: 1. Not all banks and card networks participate in the Account Updater service. To find out if your card issuer participates, contact your bank directly. 2. If your card details are updated through the Account Updater service, you’ll continue to be charged for your Audible membership using the updated card information. 3. You may still be required to complete additional verification steps (such as 3D Secure) for some transactions, even after your card details have been automatically updated. If you’d prefer to use a different payment method, you can select Manage credit cards in your View membership details to update your default card at any time.
