Audible credits are a key and recurrent benefit of certain membership plans, allowing you to purchase audiobooks of your choice from the Audible catalogue. The number of credits you get monthly or yearly depends on your active plan. You can use these credits to obtain any title, including bestsellers and new releases, as long as they have the '1 credit' badge.

Note:

• Credits are only available for Audible Premium members and the amount of credits you get per month or year depend on the Premum Plus subscription you signed up for.
• Audible credits can’t be used to purchase audiobooks with Amazon Music Unlimited. You can learn more at Listen to audiobooks with Amazon Music Unlimited.

How can I use my credits?

You can use your credits to buy audiobooks on the Audible desktop site and in the app. To learn how to buy with credits, visit Buy an audiobook.

Note:

• Credit purchases are not available on the Amazon site at this time.
• Credits are personal to your membership and cannot be gifted or transferred, but you can use your credits to purchase audiobooks as gifts.   

Where can I see my credits?

You can view your available credits anytime on the Audible site and in the app.

On desktop

Once signed in to your account, you will see your available credits next to your name from the site’s top navigation.

On the iOS app

1. Go to your Profile.
2. Select the Settings gear icon.
3. Go to Membership.
4. Select Details. 

On the Android app

1. Go to your Profile.
2. Select View account.

In addition, you can find more information about your credits on your account under Credit summary.

Note: Please note, if you cancel your membership, you will lose your remaining credits.    

Can I buy more credits?

You can buy extra credits if:

• Your membership includes credits.
• You have no credits left.
• You have been an Audible member and have been on the same membership for at least 30 days.

Note: Extra credits purchased through the App Store or Google Play apps don’t expire.

On Audible

1. Go to the Audible site and sign in to your Audible account.
2. Eligible members will see the option to purchase extra credits on the homepage.
3. Select Buy now.

Note: Members who are in their trial period aren’t eligible to purchase extra credits at a discounted price.

On the iOS App

1. Select the title you want to buy and go to its detail page.
2. Eligible members will see the option to purchase extra credits.
3. Select Buy more credits.
4. Select between 1, 3 and 5 credits.
5. Select Buy now to confirm your purchase

Note: Extra credits purchased in the iOS App will be charged via the App Store.

On the Android App

1. Select the title you want to buy and go to its detail page.
2. Eligible members will see the option to purchase extra credits.
3. Select Buy more credits.
4. Select between 1, 3 and 5 credits.
5. Select Buy now to confirm your purchase

Note: Extra credit purchased in the Android App will be charged via the Google Play Store.

How many credits can I have?

Although credits do not expire, the maximum number of Audible credits you can have in your account and that roll over vary based on your membership plan as follows:
 

How many credits can I roll over under my plan?

Audible allows to roll over a certain amount of unused credits into the following term of the plan before they expire.

If at the moment of your next billing date, your plan is at the membership credit limit, any unused credits in excess of the limit will expire.

Example: Customer A is on a Premium plan with 6 credits. On their next membership renewal date, they will lose one credit because they have exceeded the membership credit limit of 6 credits for that particular plan. Customer A will also receive one new credit when their membership renews that month - leaving them with a total of 6 credits.

Note: Gift membership credits are not affected in the same way as monthly/annual credits, but expire six months after being issued.
