What is the difference between my Audible membership and Amazon Music Unlimited?

As an Audible Standard member, you can select 1 audiobook a month from Audible's entire catalogue. You can listen to all of your previously selected audiobooks and build your own digital library, for as long as you’re an Audible member. Additionally, you will be able to purchase audiobooks for their full price.

As an Audible Premium Plus member, you’ll get 1 credit a month to buy any title you like from Audible's entire catalogue. This title is yours to keep, even if you cancel your Audible membership, allowing you to build your own digital library over time. You’ll also get access to thousands of included titles in the Plus Catalogue, and you’ll never pay more than the regular price of Premium Plus membership for any additional audiobook purchase.

Amazon Music Unlimited is a standalone audio streaming service that includes unlimited listening to 100 million songs and millions of podcasts. Subscribers to the Amazon Music Unlimited Individual or Family plan (account holders only) can listen to 1 audiobook each month from the Audible catalog, with each new selection replacing the previous month's audiobook.

How do I listen to a new audiobook on Amazon Music Unlimited?

You can replace your audiobook for a new one each month in the Amazon Music app when your monthly Amazon Music Unlimited subscription renews or on your initial subscription start date each month for annual Amazon Music Unlimited plans. You can also choose to keep listening to the audiobook you already have instead of replacing it. You can learn more about when your audiobook benefit renews on the Amazon Music Help Center.

To replace your audiobook,

1. In the Amazon Music app, select Audible in the top navigation.
2. Find the audiobook you want to listen to.
3. On the audiobook’s detail page, select Select audiobook.
4. Select Confirm.

Note:

• When you replace an audiobook, you’ll no longer have access to your previous audiobook.
• You can’t use your Audible credits in the Amazon Music app.
• You can only use Audible credits to buy audiobooks in the Audible app, on the Audible site, or on Amazon.

How do I listen to my audiobook with Amazon Music Unlimited?

You can locate your Audible audiobook selection in your Amazon Music library and select Play.

Once you’ve selected an audiobook in the Amazon Music app, it’ll also get added to your Audible Library and you can listen to it on Audible anytime as long as you’re an Amazon Music Unlimited subscriber. When listening on Audible, you can enjoy the timer, bookmark your spot, or change your narration speed settings.

Are my Audible app settings the same in the Amazon Music app?

When you change your Audible settings to hide erotic content, this will filter those results and listening recommendations from your Amazon Music searches too.

Otherwise, your audiobook player and Library preferences for Audible are unique to the Audible site and app.

Do I need an Audible membership to listen to audiobooks on Amazon Music Unlimited?

No, you don't need a separate Audible membership to access this benefit through your Amazon Music Unlimited subscription. As an Amazon Music Unlimited subscriber, you can also listen to your Audible audiobook in the Audible app without an Audible membership.

If you do choose to listen in the Audible app, you’ll be able to enjoy clips and bookmarks, set your narration speed, and other helpful features for your audiobook specific needs.

What happens to my audiobook if I cancel my Amazon Music Unlimited subscription?

You can listen to your Audible audiobook as long as you’re subscribed to Amazon Music Unlimited. If you pause or cancel your Amazon Music Unlimited subscription, you'll lose access to your selected audiobook at the end of your current billing cycle. It will no longer appear in your Amazon Music or Audible libraries.

Can I access all of my Audible audiobooks on Amazon Music Unlimited?

No, you can only access the audiobook you've selected each month with your Amazon Music Unlimited subscription in the Amazon Music app. Other Audible audiobooks you've purchased separately or have access to with Audible membership are only available in the Audible app or on the Audible site.

Note: If an audiobook is included with your Kindle Unlimited or Audible membership, you can select “Go to Audible” from the Amazon Music audiobook page to access it.

Can I switch between reading on Kindle and listening to my audiobook on Amazon Music Unlimited?

Yes, as an Amazon Music Unlimited subscriber, you can listen to your audiobook each month on your Kindle app while you’re reading, or you can seamlessly switch between reading on the Kindle app and listening in the Amazon Music or Audible apps.
